Vicky L. Vice, 61, of Riverton, passed away at 4:09 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Vicky was born June 24, 1958 in Crossville, TN, the daughter of Louis and Polly (Deck) Farmer. She graduated from Edinburg High School in 1976. Vicky married Larry D. Vice on September 10, 1978 at West Side Christian Church in Springfield. She worked in the insurance industry her entire career, first for Franklin Life Insurance Company for almost 20 years, and most recently Standard Mutual Insurance Company for another 20 years.
Vicky is survived by her husband, Larry D. Vice of Riverton; children, Rick (companion, Theresa Bouvet) Vice of Riverton, Amy (Garrett) Cook of Edinburg, and Monica (Douglas) Ziegler of Cantrall; grandchildren, Ryan Golab-Vice, Andrew Cook, Connor Cook, and Kaitlyn Ziegler; great grandchild, Hudson Vice; father, Louie Farmer of Edinburg; siblings, Jackie (Don) Kendall of Edinburg, Karen (Dennis) Dulakis of Edinburg, Susan (Coy) Squires of Riverton, and Butch Farmer of Edinburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville. In keeping with CDC guidelines, only ten guests at a time will be allowed to visit with the family.
Private family ceremonies will be held with Dennis Hudson officiating, followed by interment at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
