Victor Vernon Vollintine

Victor Vernon Vollintine, 91, of Litchfield passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 at 7:45 PM at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
He was born November 16, 1015 in rural Sorento the son of William Russell and Minnie Lucy (Voyles) Vollintine. He married Helen M. Randle on September 17, 1939 at Walshville. Preceding him in death were his parents; Infant son, Ronald Vollintine; Granddaughter, LeeAnn Komor; 3 Great Grandchildren, Steven Ingram, Katie and Kathryn Roach; Son in law, Gene Roach; Brothers, Glenn, Clarence, Earl, Lester, Wes and Loia Vollintine; Sisters, Gladys Hood, Mary Martin and Lola Long.
Mr. Vollintine was a farmer and drove a school bus for the Litchfield School District for more than 32 years and 500,000 miles without an accident. He was a member of the Walshville Baptist Church were he was a deacon for 50 years, Walshville Masonic Lodge and Mt. Olive ATA.
Survivors: Wife, Helen M. Vollintine of Litchfield, IL; Son, Lonnie (Carol) Vollintine of Witt, IL; Daughters, Sharon Roach and Vickie (Robert) Komor both of Litchfield, IL; 7 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; 1 Step Great Grandchild; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 8 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9 at 10:30 AM at the Walshville Baptist Church with the Rev. Oley Lawson and Rev. Ralph Elam officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
In memory of Vic memorials may be made to the Walshville Baptist Church or the David W. Long Memorial Fund.
