Virginia Bresnahan, 84, of Livingston, formerly of Sorento, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Carlinville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Virginia was born September 20, 1937, in Columbia, MO, the daughter of George and Jessie (Rockwell) Sanders, and one of fourteen children. She was a homemaker for her three children. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, and going for walks with her beloved dog, Thor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; longtime companion, Floyd Thacker; and grandson, David Painter.
Virginia is survived by her children, Shirley (husband, Jay) Stucke of Sorento, Donald (wife, Florie) Scott of Vandalia, and Barb (husband, Dave) of Livingston; grandchildren, Tabitha (husband, Randy) Wilson, Heather Stucke, Alex Painter, Rachel Scott, and David Scott; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation & Funeral Ceremony: The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home, 201 S. Main Street, Sorento, IL 62086, with Rev. Dayle Badman officiating.
Interment will follow the ceremony at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
