Vivian Lorene Compton, 83, of Donnellson, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 3:15 PM at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born December 16, 1922 in Panama, IL the daughter of George and Ida May (McBride) Savage. She married Jesse E. Compton in 1940 at St. Charles, MO. Preceding her in death were her parents; Brothers, George and Art Savage; Sister, Irene Reed; Grandson, Danny Compton; Daughter In Law, Pixie Compton.
Mrs. Compton was a homemaker and a member of the Panama VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors: Husband, Jesse E. Compton of Donnellson, IL; Sons, Norman Compton of Panama, IL and Loren Compton of Florida; Daughters, Shirley Ingles of Panama, IL and Ida Compton of Hillsboro, IL; 13 Grandchildren; 8 GreatGrandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, February 10 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama, with Rev. Elmer L. Fenton officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Panama.
