Wanita Boch

Wanita Boch, 88, of Taylorville died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004, in Taylorville Care Center.

She was born December 16, 1915, in Clarksdale, the daughter of Simon and Christina (Miller) Banning. She married Frederick “Fritz” Boch on September 21, 1935. She worked in customer service at Sears in Taylorville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Taylorville.

Surviving are her son, Fred (wife Caryl) Boch of O’Fallon; daughter, Shirley Trendel of Blairsville, GA; grandson, John F. Boch of Savoy; and a a sister, Lucille Irwin of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, March 25, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Carter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
