William Hayden Ettinger

William Hayden Ettinger, 92, of Florabunda Circle, Florida, formerly of Taylorville, passed away on January 2, 2007. Born August 23, 1914 in Christian County on a farm that was in the family for 150 years, the son of Hayden and Alta Hensey Ettinger. Mr. Ettinger was an Army veteran of World War II, who served three years in New Guinea as a combat photographer and with the Army Signal Corps. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, DeLand, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Taylorville, Ill.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ann; Son William Ettinger of Springfield, Ill; two daughters, Nancy Tullis of Taylorville and Mary Yeaman, Copperas Cove, Texas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 10:00 - 10:45A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, Taylorville. Graveside service will be at 11 :00 A.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, Ill. With Pastor Bob Spurgin officiating.
