William L. Campbell Jr

William L. "Bill" Campbell Jr., 77 of Morrisonville passed away at 2:50 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his home after a long illness.

He was born on September 20, 1938 at Taylorville the son of William L. and Mary J. (Muffick) Campbell Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 nieces and nephews.

Bill worked for Peabody Coal Company for 28 years before his retirement. He was a veteran of the US Army. Bill farmed, raised cattle, enjoyed hunting, fishing and pre 1840 camping. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his bird "Bumble Bee".

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Nancy (Furgeson) Campbell of Morrisonville, IL; His children, William J. (Casey) Campbell of Morrisonville, IL and Victoria (Darren) DeGroot of Ashland, IL; 3 Grandchildren, Sara and Drew DeGroot of Ashland, IL and William P. Campbell of Morrisonville, IL; Sister, Mary Ann (Wayne) Stewart of Buellton, CA; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Bill was especially comforted by a special niece, Sydney Yonk and his grandson, Drew DeGroot.

Private family burial will be held at a later date on the family farm.
