William J. Sitki

William J. Sitki, 97, of Riverview, Florida, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009, in Tampa General Hospital.

He was born May 13, 1912, in Taylorville, the son of Adam and Anna Vollentine Sitki. William and his wife were involved in a variety of businesses, loved animals and traveled extensively throughout their lives. He was a long-time resident of Riverview, FL, and a member of the DeSoto Shriners for more than 40 years.

Surviving are his nieces: Helen Rackaukas and Louise Sitki, both of Taylorville, and Lola Fredrickson of St. Paul, MN; and several great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Erma; and siblings: Adam, Sophie (Banko), Paul and Anthony; and his first wife, Rose Polette.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 14, in Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home, Taylorville, with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
