Dolores Schmedeke, 74, of Morrisonville died on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 4, 1937, in Bear Creek Township, to Edward and Helen Condon O’Brien. She married Dale D. Schmedeke on September 3, 1956 at St. Maurice Catholic Church, Morrisonville. She worked as a waitress and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church and had been a member of the Rosary and Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband, Dale; daughters: Denise M. (Mike) Millburg of Morrisonville and Debbie (John) Miller of Harvel; son, Daniel E. (Amy) Schmedeke of Morrisonville; nine grandchildren: Ryan M. Millburg, Jarrod E. Millburg, Kyle N. Millburg, Megan M. Millburg, Phillip Miller, Bradley Miller, Jeffrey Miller, Katheryn Schmedeke, and Nicole Schmedeke; two great-grandchildren: Emma Rylee Millburg and Rex Patrick Millburg; one brother, Joseph O’Brien of Taylorville; two sisters-in-law: Darlene O’Brien of Morrisonville and Mary Ann O’Brien of Stonington, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother, Thomas O’Brien.

Funeral service were held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Catholic Church, Morrisonville with Father Alan Hunter and Father Gerald Bunse officiating. Burial was held in St. Maurice Cemetery, Morrisonville.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Perfetti Funeral Home, Morrisonville.

Pallbearers were Ryan Millburg, Jarrod Millburg, Phillip Millburg, Kyle Millburg, David Sullivan, Raymond Schmedeke, Brad Miller, and Jeff Miller.
