Louise Ann Smith

Louise Ann Smith passed away Thursday, Augsut 29, 2013 at Helia Healthcare. She is survived by her sons Daniel Charles (Julia) Smith, Bruce Wayne (Barb) Smith, and Richard Dean Smith, her sister Laura Jane (Hal) Jones, her brothers Thomas Elbert (Deiane) McKean and Elmer J. (Susan) McKean, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Louise attended Greenville schools and graduated from Excella Beauty Academy in St. Louis, MO. She was a licensed cosmetologist and had served as president of IHCA Affiliate of the National Hairdressers and Cosmotolgists of America. She owned and operated Beauty Salons in Illinois and Texas. At age 45 she embarked on a second career becoming an optician at age 45. She served 12 years in the District Staff Office of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. In retirement she worked for Management Simulation, Inc of Northfield, IL. She was a member of the Greenville First Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army.
