  1. Light a CandleOur thoughts and prayers are with all the family and friends. Bro. Butch will be greatly missed, His hugs and his big smile that lit up the room. We love y’all!

  2. Light a CandleBrother Butch was truly a man of God and we were so blessed to have him in our lives. We are praying for Miss Virginia and family.

  3. Light a CandleButch was such a wonderful, kind hearted man who had the best smiles and biggest hugs! We are sure going to miss those hugs! Our thoughts and prayers to the family.

  4. Virginia and family, my heart was truly saddened to hear of Butch’s graduation, yet I was excited for him to have his faith end in sight! Butch was a great friend and a positive spiritual influence on me and our young family during our visits to First Baptist of M’ville and then during our time on staff with Pastor Hunter. During times of uncertainty we could count on Butch to bring comfort through a smile coupled with a hearty laugh. The only thing that possibly out-sized Butch’s physical strength was his heart. So very kind and loving. When we ran the VBS at First Baptist in M’ville it was wild but I could always count on Butch being there (after a long day’s work), manning his post and loving those children. What an example of Christ he set for the next generation! God did a wonderful thing when He formed the Butch and Virginia team!

  5. So glad God gave us such a godly friend in our life. He will be missed. Praying for Mrs. Virginia and the family.

  6. Truly a great man! He loved with all his heart and he is already dearly missed. We are thankful for such an amazing influence in our children’s lives as well as our own. Sending love and prayers to the family.

    • Such a great man! He will be missed. I will miss his sense of humor and his jokes. Prayers for the family. Such a great example and loved by everyone.

  7. Bro Butch was a shinning example of someone who let their light shine for the Lord! Always illuminating Christ and casting a shadow on himself. A true hero of the Faith! Heaven’s sounding sweeter – all the time! Praying for Mrs Virginia and the Family! Love ya all!

Buth had such a strong faith. I know at this time he is rejoicing with Our Lord and all the family members who have gone on before. I also know that there is no way around the grief that surrounds you & his loved ones at this time. May the light of the Holy Spirit bring you serenity and peace in the days and weeks ahead.
If there is anything I can do, please reach out to me. I will be here for you.
