Nellie E. Murphy

Nellie E. Murphy of Greenville passed away at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Greenville at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Terry) McCool of Hermann, Mo, her sister Lucille Doolen of Vandalia, IL, six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. She was born in Shobonier, IL to John and Pearl (Zimmerman) Frisby. She grew up in Shobonier and Vandalia and graduated from Vandalia High School. She married Charles A Murphy on October 10, 1936 in Petersburg, IN. He died in February of 1985. After her marriage she and her husband lived in Springfield, IL. They moved to Coffeen, IL in 1972. After her husband's death she moved to Greenville in 1997. She was a member of the Coffeen Methodist Church.
