March 19, 1964 ~ February 21, 2026
Born in:
Salem, Illinois
Resided in:
Mulberry Grove , Illinois
Roxanna Bissontz, 61, of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, passed away at 8:27 a.m., Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at the home she shared with her loving husband. Her family has chosen cremation, according to her wishes.
Born in Salem, Illinois on March 19th, 1964, to Donald and Mary Louise (Weems) Meadows, Roxanna lived her adolescent years in Salem, later moving to Nokomis before settling in Mulberry Grove. She married the love of her life, Harry Bissontz on October 31, 2003, on their property. He survives her.
Roxanna was the heart and soul of her family. She was a free spirit at heart who embraced her inner hippie and found peace in nature. She loved being in the woods, trapping in the creek, tending to her garden and caring for her animals. She was especially fond of her dogs Ozzy, Scarlett, Zues and Whitey.
She was a creative soul, always drawing, coloring and painting. She enjoyed browsing thrift stores and collecting things such as dolls and skulls. She also acquired a few pocketknives over time. KSHE was always playing on the radio, and the coffee was always hot.
Preceding Roxanna in death are her parents, Donald and Mary Louise, and a son, Derrick Cutright.
Roxanna is survived by her loving husband, Harry Bissontz of Mulberry Grove; sons, Christopher McKinney of Farina, Larry Price of Farina, and Junior Price of Kincaid; a bushel of grandchildren and several great grandchildren; siblings Bub Meadows, Boo Meadows, Lisa Kopf and Anita Spracklen; numerous extended family and friends.
