Wayne Allen Belcher passed away at Fair Oaks Nursing Home at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife Shelby Jean (Crites) Belcher whom he married on June 24, 1961 in St. Louis, MO., his daughters Debra (Tim) Handrahan and Linda Hamel, his son Mark (Angel) Belcher, his brother Maurice (Elsie) Belcher, his sisters Mary (Lloyd "Jiggs") West, Charlotee (Leon) Litzenburg and Sue Ann (Ron) Wilcox. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Randy Johnson, Colton Hamel, Brandon Hamel, Susan (Hardrahan) Bryant, Laura Handrahan, Gabriel Belcher, and Abigail Belcher. He moved to Illinois from Minnesota with his family when he was 3 years old. He attended Carlyle High School and graduated in 1946. He joined the U.S. Navy in November of 1950 and served on the USS Rochester at Subic Bay in the Phillipines and at Shimonoseki Strait in Japan until his discharge in August of 1954 as a Machinist Third Class. He farmed all of his life and was a member of the National Farmers Organization and the Tamalco Christian Church
